In the original Westchester production of Star Blazers, the first episode contained a very poignant narration about the old battleship Yamato. When rights to Star Blazers transferred to Voyager Entertainment, their release of Star Blazers excluded this rather important narration.

Though still not answered as to why, found is a 1984 recording of the narration. You can download or listen to it in the MP3 section.

Leiji Matsumoto's 'SIDE STORY' from 1976, detailing the inclusion of Generalissimo Deslar's Daughter "Jura" into the journey of Iscandar story, is creatively presented by John Davidson. Creator of the "Star Blazers Uncut" project, this arrangement of "The Eternal Story of Jura" is in a 'Ken Burns" style presentation.

With the original Japanese names, sound effects and ideography, this story comes to life right before your eyes.
