Sanada's Explanation of WARP

A very critical function of the Space Battleship Yamato, is its ability to move through space at accelerated speeds. To accomplish this, Queen Stashia of Iscandar gave Earth the plans for the "Wave Motion Engine" which can be used to WARP space.

宇宙戦艦ヤマトの重要な機能はスペースを通って速い速度で旅行する能力です。そりを達成するために､ ｲｽｶﾝﾀﾞﾙのｽﾀｰｼｱ女王はｽﾍﾟｰｽを曲げるのに使用される｢波動ｴﾝｼﾞﾝ｣のための地球ﾌﾟﾗﾝを与えた｡

In 1974, the concept of space warp was in its infancy. Yet, for a cartoon, the concepts actually sounded plausible in this science fiction universe. Here is Sanada’s description from the original Space Battleship Yamato episode #4, airing October 27th, 1974; “World of Wonder: Yamato leaps past light!”

1974年に､ ｽﾍﾟｰｽﾜｰﾌﾟの概念が揺かご期にあった｡ しかし､ 漫画に関して､ 概念は実際にこのｻｲｴﾝｽﾌｨｸｼｮﾝ宇宙の中でもっともらしく聞こえた｡ 宇宙戦艦ﾔﾏﾄ･ﾃﾚﾋﾞ･ｴﾋﾟｿｰﾄﾞ#4から､ 1974年10月27日に発表して､ これは真田のｽﾍﾟｰｽﾜｰﾌﾟの記述である｡ ｢驚きのﾜｰﾙﾄﾞ:光の先の大和の飛躍!｣


"Einstein's theory of time is continuous, it’s always moving forward."
